This is how you create user accounts for colleagues, consultants and other collaborators and change their access level
Are there people within or without your organization requiring access to properties in the portal? Perhaps colleagues supposed to register meter readings manually? Or consultants contributing to your operational and strategic work? If so, your first action is to create a user profile for them.
-
Follow this procedure if you wish to grant tenants access to their data.
N.B: A common explanation for receiving an error message is that the emailadress is already in use. Please contact support@mestro.com for further assistance.
Granting and restricting access to property data are equally important tasks. The right people must be able to access the required data without compromising other organizational goals. That's why we continuously strive to make the User menu as intuitive as possible.
TIP: Gather the names, email addresses and the property access information for all new users before you begin - that's all you need to create new accounts!

To create a new user account you need to have admin level access.

Click on Create upon which an invitation with login details to Mestro portal will be automatically sent to the new user.
How to:
Alternative 1
The Users menu is your first option for creating user profiles. Simply navigate to the customer node (your company's name is the customer node) and click Users, then you also select Users from the drop-down list. Immediately a list of all user profiles, their access level and properties are displayed. The example below lists some users with access to different property groups within the Demo account.
TIP: Do you wish to edit a user profile? Click the pen icon to edit property access and access levels in the portal.
Once here, you can perform a number of administrative tasks. Creating new users is as simple as clicking New user.
N.B: Your position in the node tree is important. If positioned on a single property, only users with access to that property are displayed. To manage users for your entire portfolio, please navigate to the customer node.
Alternative 2
Alternative 2 is to use the object creator. In the lower lefthand corner, click New object and pick User. Node tree position does not affect the creation of users using this alternative. It is possible to create an Admin-level user with access to your entire portfolio when standing on a meter node.
Final step
Regardless of the alternative, the same profile creator window will pop up. First, enter the user's name and email adress. Then you choose which language the invitation email should have. The default language is English, but you also have the option of choosing Swedish. After that, you have the opportunity to choose which professional role the user has. The next step is to select permissions. The majority of profiles as this level in Mestro Portal.
The final step is to pick the properties the user will have access to. The selection tool is flexible, so you can give access to anything from a single property to the entire portfolio. Giving access to a single property limits the user's view of data to that of this property. This way you can ensure that the right person, in the right place accesses the correct information.
N.B: If you give access to a whole property group, the user has access to information about all the properties within that group. If you want to limit the access, the best way is to select them property by property. It's possible to give access to different properties in different groups - there are no limits!
