A package coming your way with improved functionality in the Mestro portal just in time for summer!
When logging in on Wednesday the 15th, you will now be greeted with a Budget Tool, a user-friendly solution for creating and tracking budgets at the property level. Additionally, we are introducing the option for aggregation per building instead of property, allowing for area-based allocation based on building area. We have also introduced the Power Signature, providing a daily average power report. Furthermore, we have improved the validation of Virtual Meters and changed the aggregation method to avoid issues with sub-meters. With these enhancements, you can easily manage and analyze your energy data in an even more efficient way!
Below, you can read more about each new functionality:
Budget Tool
Aggregation from building
Starting from the release, it is possible to configure the aggregation to occur per building instead of per property. This brings some changes to how the system functions and can only be requested through consultation with Customer Success. This enables area-based allocation based on building area and similar aspects but comes with some limitations.
Power Signature
The Energy Signature now has a sibling - the Power Signature! It is the same report but expressed in terms of daily average power instead of energy. This will also include some additional key metrics above the graph.
New Temperature Source
With this release, we have also acquired a new temperature/weather source. Following the discontinuation of Darksky, we have now switched to Weatherbit.
Virtual Meters with stricter validation
We have taken significant steps to improve the validation of Virtual Meters in various ways. For example, it will not be possible to remove a meter that is included in a Virtual Meter, which is one of the most common issues today.
Change in aggregation during active period
If a main meter has a stop time, it will be included as long as the stop time is within the requested date range. If we select a range that is after the stop time but does not include the stop time, the system used to pick up another meter. Now, this has been changed. If there is a main meter under the property, the system will assume that it is the main meter to be aggregated primarily, meaning no sub-meters will appear.
